The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted an onsite inspection and validation of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig’s (PLP) Institutional Recognition on October 22, 2025, to assess the University’s compliance with CHED Memorandum Order No. 18, s. 2022.
The CHED inspection team was composed of Ms. Theresa Maestro (Education Program Specialist II, OIQAG), Ms. Gabriela Alexandra C. Tayag (OIC–Supervising Education Program Specialist, CHED NCR), Ms. Rowena Ann V. Malabanan (Education Supervisor II, CHED NCR), and Ms. Ma. Geraldine F. Casipit (Chief Education Program Specialist, CHED CAR).
In his opening remarks, PLP President Dr. Reggie Maningas expressed the University’s deep commitment to the evaluation process, stating:
“Buong puso naming tinatanggap ang tungkulin ng pagsusuri at pamantayang itinakda ng Commission on Higher Education — hindi dahil sa takot o sa layuning makasunod lamang, kundi dahil sa aming taimtim na hangarin na maibigay sa aming mga estudyante hindi lamang ang sapat, kundi ang may kalidad, makabuluhan, at nakapagpapabago na edukasyon.”
The visit involved a comprehensive review of PLP’s compliance with institutional standards, including the inspection of facilities, validation of documentary evidence, and discussions with university officials. The activity concluded with a post-conference and the signing of the Evaluation Report by the CHED evaluation team and the PLP President.
This onsite inspection highlights CHED’s continuing efforts to ensure quality assurance among local universities and underscores PLP’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, good governance, and transformative education.
