The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) held its 5th Regular Meeting of the Board of Regents (BOR) for Calendar Year 2025 on 15 December 2025 at the PLP Banquet Hall. The meeting provided a venue for reporting major institutional accomplishments, policy deliberations, and strategic planning initiatives.
A highlight of the opening program was the recognition and oathtaking of Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, DOST–NCR Regional Director, as the newest BOR member. The Board also approved the minutes of the 4th Regular BOR Meeting.
In her President’s Report, Dr. Maningas presented key academic and institutional milestones, led by the Top 1 performance of the College of Nursing in the Nursing Licensure Examination with a 100% passing rate (80/80 passers), including multiple Top 20 placers. Strong results were likewise reported in the Electronics Engineering Licensure Examination and a Top 7 finish in the Electronics Technician Board Examination.
Updates were shared on the College of Law, infrastructure improvements such as the renovation of the Hospitality Management Building, progress in Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, admissions, and community engagement programs. There was also a presentation of the analysis of CPALE results and the proposed 2026 Executive Budget and milestone programs.
Student achievements were recognized, including commendable performances in the 14th IT Olympics, IECEP RSC Math Olympiad, and the LCUAA competitions, where PLP placed 3rd.
The Board approved various academic and administrative matters, including faculty appointments and promotions, Contract of Service personnel, scholarship grants, the offering of the Certificate in Teaching Program to non-LGU employees, and the creation of Technical Working Groups for the Bachelor in Public Administration program and the Implementing Rules and Guidelines of the University Code.
The meeting concluded with the adjournment, reaffirming PLP’s commitment to academic excellence, good governance, and responsive public service as Pasig City’s premier local university.
