Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig proudly hosted the ALCU NCR Trisemester Regional Meeting on April 27, 2026, bringing together Presidents and representatives of Local Colleges and Universities (LCUs) across the National Capital Region.

The meeting was presided over by ALCU NCR President Raymund P. Arcega, CESE, and was honored by the presence of CHED-NCR Director Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CESE, together with Dr. Victor Castelo, Dr. Victorino Datuin, and Dr. Gabriela Alessandra Tayag.

A key highlight of the gathering was the shared commitment between CHED and ALCU NCR to strengthen collaboration among member institutions in pursuit of 100% compliance with Institutional Recognition (IR) and the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC). These standards are essential in ensuring that LCUs continue to provide quality, accessible, and transformative education for the communities they serve.

CHED reaffirmed its strong support for LCUs, assuring all institutions of its readiness to provide guidance, technical assistance, and partnership as they work toward full compliance and continuous improvement.

More than a meeting, the gathering was a reaffirmation of a collective purpose: that through unity, cooperation, and shared accountability, LCUs can better serve students, uplift families, and contribute to nation-building.
