Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) proudly celebrated its 22nd Recognition Day on June 4, 2026, at the PLP Auditorium, honoring the outstanding achievements, leadership, and service of its students. The meaningful ceremony brought together university officials, faculty members, staff, proud families, and students in a celebration of excellence and accomplishment.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the University Service Awards, recognizing students and organizations whose contributions have significantly enriched campus life and strengthened the university community. Awards were conferred upon exemplary student leaders and organizations under the Student Success Office, including Himig Chorale, PASIGYAW, the Supreme Student Council, LUNDAYAN, and other duly recognized non-academic organizations for their dedication to service, leadership, culture, and student engagement.
The ceremony also featured the College Awards, where each academic unit proudly recognized students who demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. Honors such as Best in Research Study, Best in Practicum/Outstanding Student Teacher, College Leadership Award, College Service Award, and College Special Award were presented across the various colleges, including the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Computer Studies, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Hospitality Management, and College of Nursing.
A particularly inspiring moment of the program was the recognition of the graduating students who earned Latin Honors, a testament to their perseverance, commitment, and academic excellence throughout their journey at PLP.
The awardees received their recognitions in the presence of PLP President Dr. Glicerio M. Maningas, OIC – Vice President for Academic Affairs Mr. Fitz Gerald V. Jaminit, Student Success Office Department Head Ms. Arlene Y. Daniel and the Deans of the various colleges. The program was hosted by Ms. Catherine B. Sorbito of the College of Computer Studies, whose professionalism and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the event.
The 22nd Recognition Day stands as a reflection of PLP’s unwavering commitment to holistic student developmentācelebrating not only academic achievement but also leadership, service, character, and active participation in university life.
