The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) successfully conducted its 2026 Mid-Year Assessment Workshop on June 30 to July 1, 2026, at the PLP Banquet Hall, bringing together university officials, academic leaders, and office heads to assess the University’s implementation progress during the first half of the year.

Anchored on the theme, “Midpoint to Momentum: Learning from Implementation, Strengthening Delivery, and Planning Forward,” the two-day workshop served as a strategic checkpoint to evaluate the implementation of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) identified during the February 2026 Strategic Planning Workshop. The activity focused on reviewing accomplishments, validating implementation milestones, identifying challenges, and recalibrating strategies to ensure that institutional initiatives remain aligned with PLP’s strategic priorities and long-term goals.

The workshop opened with a message from University President Dr. Reggie Maningas, who emphasized that strategic planning is a continuous process that requires disciplined implementation, regular monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making. Participants also gained valuable insights from Ms. Ethel Mae Cruz, Budget Officer, who presented the University’s mid-year implementation and financial utilization status, and Ms. Maria Angela Tan who facilitated the orientation on Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) and outcome-focused implementation monitoring.

A major highlight of the workshop was the Cluster Reporting and Assessment Sessions, where colleges, offices, and units presented their implementation progress, validated accomplishments, discussed operational challenges, and identified opportunities for improvement. Through collaborative workshops, participants updated implementation monitoring tools, assessed institutional outcomes, and developed recalibration and catch-up strategies to strengthen implementation for the remaining quarters of 2026.

More than a progress review, the 2026 Mid-Year Assessment Workshop reaffirmed PLP’s commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, and results-driven governance. By reflecting on achievements, addressing implementation gaps, and planning forward, the University continues to strengthen its collective efforts toward achieving its vision of academic excellence, responsive public service, and transformative education
